Budweiser Unveils ‘Cowboy’ Cans

“Cowboy” found his Clydesdale.

Longtime UFC veteran Donald Cerrone was given his own Budweiser can ahead of his UFC 246 pay-per-view (PPV) main event against Conor McGregor, which takes place this Sat. night (Jan. 18, 2020) inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

McGregor, of course, made booze news in recent years for developing Proper No. 12 Irish Whiskey, which I have yet to try (I hate whiskey) but I can tell you that I’ve had many Budweisers in my day (thanks, college) and well, they get the job done.

Tailgating, frat parties, guests you don’t want to have back, etc.

“I want all of the blue collar American working class people to know that I’m out there fighting for them,” the can reads. “People ask me, ‘Why don’t you take time off?’ But the working class doesn’t take time off. They’re out there working every day. That’s what I do, too. I want them to know there is hope, and I’m out there just like they are.”

Have a look:

Cerrone, 36, can buy a lot of Budweiser with the $2 million purse he’ll bank at UFC 246 but something tells me “Cowboy” is more interested in snapping a two-fight losing streak in which he was finished twice.

As for McGregor, he’s no stranger to Budweiser, having been pinched for a since-banned advertisement that critics claimed promoted underage drinking. Speaking of exclusionary marketing, I wonder what the poor chaps at Modelo must think of all this pre-fight Hullaballoo.

Bottoms up!
