UFC 263: Adesanya vs Vettori (RESULTS)
Winning Bets
Steven Peterson by decision (1.20units)
This fight went as expected. Peterson was able to avoid getting subbed while landing more shots. His experience edge showed as Hooper is still very young and green.
Carlos Felipe by decision (0.75 units)
This was a close decision that we were fortunate to have go our way. Felipe continued to show his durability while not having that fight ending one punch power.
Terrance McKinney ITD (1.50 units)
This fight ended quickly with McKinney knocking out Frevola with the 1st combo he threw. McKinney is known for his explosive power and Frevola had been rocked multiple times in the past.
Losing Bets
Hakeem Dawodu (-1 unit)
We were expecting Dawodu to do a better job of keeping the the fight on the feet. He couldn’t stop Evloev’s takedowns and struggled to make it back to his feet thus losing a unanimous decision.
Leon Edwards ITD (-1 unit)
Edwards had an opportunity to get a title shot with an impressive victory against Diaz. While he did get the victory he wasn’t overly impressive and almost got finished himself at the end of the fight. When he gets passed up again for a title shot it’ll be on him.
Deiveson Figueiredo ITD (-1 unit)
Our read was completely off here as Moreno dominated winning inside the distance himself in round 3. Figueiredo looked slow and drained and Moreno just took it to him and was ultra impressive.
Carlos Felipe / Steven Peterson / Belal Muhammad / Deiveson Figueiredo / Israel Adesanya / Jamahal Hill ITD parlay (-1 unit)
Felipe, Peterson, Muhammad, and Adesanya all did their part getting victories. Figueiredo was dominated while losing his title against Brandon Moreno. Jamahal Hill decided to fight in Paul Craig’s world and paid for it getting finished in round 1. He also had his elbow dislocated for good measure.
UFC Fight Night: Korean Zombie vs Ige (PLAYS)
Lara Procopio over Casey O’Neil by decision +110 (0.5 units) Bet was placed on 6/18/21.
Lara Procopio enters this fight with more UFC and overall experience than her opponent. Her most impressive fight came in a close loss to Karol Rosa. Procopio is a high volume fighter who’s not much of a finisher. We feel she will be able to out strike O’Neil on her way to a decision victory.
Lara Procopio & Sergey Spivak ITD PARLAY +166 (1 unit) Bet was placed on 6/18/21.
We feel Procopio will win her fight most likely by decision as mentioned previously. Sergey Spivak should be able to finish Oleinik as long as he can survive Oleinik in the early going. Oleinik is basically sub or bust and has a limited gas tank. If Oleinik can’t finish Spivak early we see him tiring out. At the point the door opens for Spivak to apply pressure that Oleinik shouldn’t be able to withstand.
Dhiego Lima over Matt Brown by decision +175 (0.5 units) Bet was placed on 6/18/21.
Dhiego Lima is fighting in good form right now. He’s 3-1 in his last 4 fights with the only loss coming against the surging Belal Muhammad. We believe he’s better than Matt Brown at this point in their careers. Lima isn’t much of a finisher so we see him being able to out volume Brown on his way to a decision victory.
Julian Erosa over Seung Woo Choi +115 & ITD +300 (1 & 0.5 units) Bets were placed on 6/18/21.
Julian has had a career resurgence since coming back to the UFC. He’s 2-0 with 2 impressive finish victories. Standing in his way is Woo Choi who’s also won his last 2 UFC fights. As long as Erosa doesn’t get finished he should prevail here. He’s a high output fighter with sneaky finishing ability.
Dan Ige over Korean Zombie ITD +275 (0.5 units) Bet was placed on 6/18/21.
The winner of this fight is going to add his name to the title contender list. The loser will probably never fight for a title. The Korean Zombie is now 34 years old and is 2-2 in his last 4 fights. Most notably he’s coming off a surprising loss to Brian Ortega where he wasn’t competitive.
Dan Ige on the other hand is 7-1 in his last 8 fights and is on the best run of his career. He’s been able to win by decision or impressive finish during that span. He has fast hands and packs good power and Zombie is easy to hit. This should be a competitive fight but we can see a scenario where Zombie doesn’t have it any more and Ige finishes him.
