Thiago Moises / Felicia Spencer parlay (-3 units)
We put our faith in 2 fighters on all tickets last week and only one came through. Felicia Spencer dominated her fight and looked like excellent value even at her high odds. Unfortunately Thiago Moises didn’t come through and was completely dominated and finished by the underdog in Alvarez. We put too much emphasis on Moises and didn’t pay enough attention to Alvarez and paid dearly for it.
Thiago Moises / Felicia Spencer / Ben Rothwell parlay (-0.5 units)
This was another parlay that Moises ended up ruining. But even had he won it still would’ve lost because Rothwell ended up losing as well. We felt Rothwell was durable and Rogerio De Lima would tire the longer the fight went. Rogerio De Lima had other plans by completely blitzing the slower Rothwell and finishing him in less than a minute.
Thiago Moises / Felicia Spencer / Yadong Song parlay (-0.5 units)
And this was yet another parlay that lost because of having Moises on it. That’s the risk when you put all your eggs in one basket. We felt Song was the much quicker fighter and his speed was the difference. Arce couldn’t find him and Song was able to land on Arce finishing him in round 2.
Thiago Moises / Felicia Spencer / Kennedy Nzechukwu parlay (-0.5 units)
This was the final parlay that lost and had Moises on it as well. But once again even had he won it would’ve lost because it also had Nzechukwu on it. We took Nzechukwu because he was durable and appeared to be turning a corner. But Jung had other plans as he was able to land some big shots early and not take anything in return. He hurt Nzechukwu bad and proceeded to finish him in round 1.
UFC Fight Night: Vieira vs Tate (PLAYS)
Taila Santos / Sean Brady parlay -104 (1.5 units) Bet was placed on 11/19/21.
We view Santos as our most confident play and her odds reflect it. She is surging in women’s flyweight division. After dropping her UFC debut she’s won 3 straight and was dominant in those fights. She’s a good striker and has good output. But what’s been effective in her recent fights is her wrestling. She’s been able to take down her opponents and control them on the mat and we feel that will happen here as well.
Wood is the seasoned veteran and was near a title shot recently. She however decided to take a fight against Jennifer Maia instead of waiting for her title shot and lost. She comes into this fight with much more experience and a striking base. The problem for her is she can be taken down and we fully expect that to happen here. On top of that she was recently married and is already talking about life after MMA. History has shown that once a fighter acknowledges the end is near for their career they traditionally don’t perform well.
Sean Brady much like Taila Santos is on the rise in his weight class. He’s undefeated at 14-0 and looks to be on the verge of being a contender in the welterweight division. He’s dangerous everywhere and has heart on top of everything else. He’s going to be the better striker here and is a capable grappler. We expect him to perform well in his 1st step up in competition.
Michael Chiesa is coming off a title eliminator loss at the hands of Vicente Luque. He’s been fighting tough guys for years now in the UFC. Chiesa is all about grappling although he’s been submitted on multiple occasions. We feel Brady holds a big advantage in the striking department and is a more than capable grappler himself. If Chiesa can’t take Brady’s back then most likely he will lose. We feel this will be Brady’s coming out party announcing his presence in the welterweight division.
Taila Santos / Miesha Tate parlay +140 (1.5 units) Bet was placed on 11/19/21.
Our 3rd most confident play in the card is Miesha Tate. She’s coming off an impressive return to the octagon victory over Marion Reneau. It was her 1st fight in nearly 5 years and Tate looked like she never missed a beat. She’s a former champion and has fought the who’s who in women’s MMA. She’s going to have the experience and cardio edge against Vieira.
Ketlen Vieira was undefeated and looked like a title contender until she got a step up in competition. She got knocked out by Irene Aldana and recently lost to Yana Kunitskaya. She doesn’t have an impressive win on her record and has only lost when given a step up in competition. Tate is a step up in competition even at 35 years of age and in her 2nd fight back. We feel Tate will be able to take Vieira into deep waters and outpoint her. Vieira is known to slow down later in fights and we feel that’ll happen here.
Sean Brady / Miesha Tate parlay +201 (1 unit) Bet was placed on 11/19/21.
We already gave our breakdown on both of these fighters so we decided to parlay them together. The odds payout much better since Santos isn’t on the ticket and this gives us a chance of cashing a ticket just in case Santos we’re to lose.
Taila Santos / Sean Brady / Miesha Tate parlay +277 (1 unit) Bet was placed on 11/19/21.
Our final bet involves parlaying all 3 fighters we are most confident in for this card. We feel all 3 fighters should win and if that were to happen all 4 tickets will cash. But if 1 fighter were to lose we could still cash 1 ticket based on the way we set up our tickets.
