Winning Bets
Jack Della Maddalena ITD (+2.75 units)
We had to sweat out an early submission attempt by Emeev but it was all Della Maddalena after that. His boxing is elite for mma and Emeev couldn’t handle the body work as he was TKO’d in round 1.
Losing Bets
Jacob Malkoun by decision (-1 unit)
We were on the wrong side of a few close decisions last week and this was the 1st one. Malkoun was able to implement his wrestling on Allen but the problem is he has no offense while on the ground. With that being said he needed to do more with his takedowns to have the decision go his way.
Taila Santos (-1 unit)
We were one of the few people who thought Santos could realistically beat Shevchenko and it almost happened. We felt Santos would be strong and she proved it with her takedowns and body control. What prevented her from getting the job done was the accidental head butts. Without those she most likely would’ve cruised to a shocking unanimous decision victory.
Danaa Batgerel / Weili Zhang / Glover Texeira & Jiri Prochazka FDGTD parlay (-2 units)
This parlay died early when Batgerel lost a unanimous decision. He started off good winning the 1st round. But Kang made the proper adjustments and easily won the last 2 rounds. That was unfortunate because Zhang won her fight easily and the main event didn’t go the distance.
UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs Emmett (PLAYS)
We only have 3 units in play for this card. We were supposed to have 5 units bet but it’s only 3 with the Lauzon Cerrone fight getting cancelled a little while ago. That’s too bad because we really liked our chances with Lauzon winning in round 1 and by KO.
Tony Kelley over Adrian Yanez by decision +600 (1 unit) Bet was placed on 6/17/22.
This should be a close fight and one that should make it to the scorecards. Kelley is a high volume fighter and is tough to finish. Yanez is the more skilled fighter but can be hit. We’re taking the shot on Kelley being able to out volume Yanez and get the decision victory. Those odds were too good to pass up and were worth the risk.
Guram Kutateladze over Damir Ismagulov +135 (1 unit) Bet was placed on 6/17/22.
This is another close matchup on paper. Ismagulov is the better overall fighter but he lacks power. Kutateladze has the better power and gas tank. Ismagulov was hurt in his last fight against Rafael Alves. We took the slight dog in what should be a close fight.
Kyle Daukaus / Kevin Holland / Calvin Kattar parlay +144 (1 unit) Bet was placed on 6/17/22.
Kyle Daukaus is a dark horse contender in the middleweight division. He has real good grappling and his striking is low key good. Dolidze is a grappler with a bad gas tank. The odds in this fight are justified as Daukaus should get the W.
Kevin Holland not only is a real life superhero but he’s a real good mma fighter. Tim Means is there to big hit and we expect Holland to pick him apart and possibly land something big along the way that could finish the fight.
Calvin Kattar is the cleaner striker in his matchup with Josh Emmett. He also has a world class chin. Emmett appears to be KO or bust in this matchup. The most likely outcome seems to be Kattar by decision but a finish wouldn’t be out of the question.
