UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs Allen (RESULTS)
Winning Bets
Khalil Rountree (+1.40 units)
Our only winning bet was somewhat controversial. Rountree was given the decision victory when most felt he lost the fight. He did inflict the most damage overall but probably should’ve lost the fight on the judges scorecards.
Losing Bets
Chase Hooper ITD & by KO +500 (-1.25 units)
This was one of our worst reads of the year as Hooper was completely obliterated by Garcia. Hooper looked like a random person off of the street who stepped into a cage for the first time. He never came close to getting the fight to the ground. Instead he took an epic beat down on the feet.
Max Griffin ITD (-0.50 units)
This bet came close to cashing as Griffin rocked and dropped Means in round 1. Means was able to survive however and the fight ended up making it to the scorecards. He was never in any danger after surviving the 1st round knockdown.
Jared Vanderaa by sub (-0.25 units)
Once again we threw money away by betting on the soon to be fired Vanderaa. We thought he’d fight a smart game plan with his job on the line but he didn’t. Instead of trying to grapple with a boxer he boxed with one and got outpointed as one would expect.
Khalil Rountree ITD (-0.50 units)
We won our straight bet on Rountree but lost this one. It felt like the winner would do so inside the distance but it wasn’t the case. At least we were fortunate to play Rountree straight and more fortunate that the judges gifted him the decision.
UFC Fight Night: Rodriguez vs Lemos (PLAYS)
Darrick Minner +175 (1 unit) Bet was placed on 11/4/22.
Minner is an all or nothing style fighter. He goes all out for an early finish and normally gets finished if the fight goes long. He’s only lost to mostly legit competition during his UFC run.
Nuerdanbieke is an average at best fighter who’s been finished 7 times over his career. With that being said we feel playing Minner at nice dog odds is a justified play. At the very least we should get our monies worth for 1 round.
Grant Dawson & Marina Rodriguez parlay +102 (1 unit) Bet was placed on 11/4/22.
Dawson is undefeated in the UFC and is a dark horse contender in the lightweight division. Madsen is undefeated overall but against lesser competition and is a one trick pony. He’ll have the wrestling advantage but Dawson is the better striker with the better cardio. We feel Dawson will be able to do enough to get the victory most likely by decision.
Rodriguez is on the cusp of a title shot and may get one with a convincing win here. She’s a great striker with high volume. Lemos packs serious power and would seem to need a finish to get the victory in this spot. She throws strong, looping punches while Rodriguez throws faster, straight ones. We’re taking Rodriguez as her punches should land first.
