UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs Strickland (RESULTS)
Winning Bets
Amir Albazi ITD / Michal Oleksiejczuk ITD parlay (+2.61 units)
Albazi is a dark horse contender in the flyweight division and was given a debuting short notice replacement. He handled him accordingly. Oleksiejczuk proved he is levels above Brundage and also got the job done inside the distance.
Losing Bets
Saidyokub Kakhramonov by decision (-0.50 units)
This was a bad read on our part as we felt Kakhramonov might be able to control Nurmagomedov to a decision victory. What actually happened was that Nurmagomedov was able to get the submission victory and prove he’s on a different level.
Sergey Morozov / Manel Kape / Jake Matthews / Michal Oleksiejczuk / Julian Erosa / Amir Albazi / Arman Tsarukyan parlay (-0.50 units)
This low probability parlay lost when not one but 2 fighters lost. Going forward we plan on playing less high leg parlays and focus more on straight and prop bets.
UFC Fight Night: Strickland vs Imavov (PLAYS)
Dan Ige ITD +225 (1 unit) Bet was placed on 1/13/23.
Ige enters this fight on a 3 fight skid. His opponent Jackson is on a 4 fight winning streak. For those reasons the fight is improperly lined in our favor as Ige should be more like a -250 favorite in our opinion.
Ige’s losses during that time have been to legit, world class competition. Meanwhile Jackson has been beating much, much, easier competition by comparison. Jackson has a history of getting finished when facing a step up in competition and Ige is just that.
We see Ige being able to hurt Jackson on the feet at some point which will ultimately lead to the end of the fight. Jackson is a good grappler but Ige is no slouch there as well. As mentioned earlier we feel the line is off and hopefully we can take advantage of it.
Javid Basharat & Dan Ige parlay +128 (1 unit) Bet was placed on 1/13/23.
We just finished explaining why we feel Ige is going to win his fight. For this bet he only needs to win outright and not by a finish.
Basharat appears to be a blue chip prospect. He has good striking and his grappling is even better. His cardio is on point and most important is he has excellent fight IQ.
Mendonca is also undefeated and comes from a world class fight team. He has more question marks however as almost all of his wins came from the low level Brazilian regional scene. When all is said and done we expect Basharat to show he’s on another level and to get the job done in convincing fashion.
