UFC Fight Night: Holm vs Vieira (RESULTS)
Winning Bets
Tabitha Ricci / Michel Pereira parlay (+1.96 units)
Ricci was able to get the decision victory by mostly relying on her wrestling. Viana tried to work some magic off of her back but Ricci was too skilled of a BJJ player to get caught.
Pereira was involved in a closer fight but was correctly awarded the decision victory. He’s become a better fighter since he’s abandoned most of his high flying and high energy antics.
Jailton Almeida wins in round 1 (+1.25 units)
Almeida proved he’s an athletic freak at heavyweight as well. Once the fight hit the ground it was only a matter of time before he was able to submit the much larger Parker Porter.
Losing Bets
Omar Morales & Uros Medic FDGTD / Jailton Almeida ITD / Holly Holm parlay (-2 units)
The Morales & Medic fight ended inside the distance as expected. It was a bit of a surprise however that Medic was able to finish the normally durable Morales in round 2.
Almeida is an athletic freak and was able to easily win his fight in the 1st round. We weren’t sure if it would be by KO or sub so we played it safe and took him inside the distance.
We lost the parlay when Holm wasn’t awarded the decision. It was a close fight that could’ve went either way. Vieira deserved credit for landing the more meaningful shots and that’s what ultimately got her the decision.
Holm wins in either round 4 or round 5 (-1 unit)
We felt there was a chance that Holm could finish a tired Vieira later in the fight and that just wasn’t the case. As a matter of fact Holm was the one closer to being finished in the fight. Chalk that one up as a bad prop bet.
UFC Fight Night: Volkov vs Rozenstruik (PLAYS)
Zhalgas Zhumagulov over Jeff Molina +140 (1 unit) Bet was placed on 6/3/22.
We’re siding with the more experienced fighter in Zhumagulov in this spot. He’s more experienced against better opposition and has better wins on his resume. Molina is an exciting prospect but has weaknesses that Zhumagulov can exploit. The major weakness is his grappling defense.
Dan Argueta over Damon Jackson +450 (1 unit) Bet was placed on 6/3/22.
We’re taking a big swing on the newcomer Argueta. Jackson has him covered pretty much everywhere but we feel there’s a chance Argueta could out-grapple him. Argueta is a good wrestler and if he could control Jackson with his wrestling then that’s his best path to victory. Even though Jackson most likely will win he’s not the type of fighter you could feel comfortable about laying over -700 on.
Zarrukh Adashev over Ode Osbourne +150 (1 unit) Bet was placed on 6/3/22.
We feel Adashev is the better striker with the faster hands. If the fight plays out on the feet then the path for a Adashev victory is there. If it hits the ground however then Osbourne will have the advantage. Getting dog odds on the better striker is worth the risk in our opinion.
Dan Ige over Movsar Evloev +300 (1 unit) Bet was placed on 6/3/22.
Dan Ige is the more proven commodity in this matchup. He’s durable and skilled on the feet and ground. Evloev is an undefeated prospect but is also a one dimensional wrestler. Ige was controlled by The Korean Zombie on the ground a couple of fights ago and that’s concerning.
However Evloev has also been caught multiple times needing to escape deep submission attempts in a couple of his fights. He’s also a liability on the feet. All it will take is one mistake from Evloev and Ige is skilled enough to make him pay for it.
Karine Silva over Poliana Botelho ITD +260 (1 unit) Bet was placed on 6/3/22.
Silva is making her UFC debut and is a finisher. Botelho on the other hand has been in the UFC for a while but doesn’t have a good win on her record. And she has losses against average at best competition. We feel Silva can put it on her on the feet or ground and can finish her inside the distance.
Alonzo Menifield over Askar Mozharov in round 1 +175 (0.5 units) Bet was placed on 6/3/22.
Menifield is a proven UFC fighter with big power. Mozharov is making his UFC debut and all indications are he’s a fraud. He’s quit to strikes in the past and apparently he lied about his record. It shouldn’t take much from Menifield to get him out of there in early fashion.
Joe Solecki over Alex Da Silva by submission +300 (0.5 units) Bet was placed on 6/3/22.
Solecki is a good prospect and is a submission specialist. Da Silva is an average UFC fighter at best and has been subbed by Alexander Yakovlev so he can be subbed. Solecki will be dangerous anytime the fight is on the ground and all it will take is one mistake by Da Silva and the fight should be over.
Alonso Menifield ITD / Karine Silva / Joe Solecki parlay +393 (1 unit) Bet was placed on 6/3/22.
We’ve already covered all 3 of these fights so we decided to parlay them together. We have a bet on Menifield in round 1 so it made sense to take him inside the distance. We also have a bet on Silva inside the distance so playing her straight makes sense. Finally we have a bet on Solecki by sub so playing him straight in a parlay also makes sense.
