UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs Spivak (RESULTS)

Winning Bets

Muslim Salikhov ITD (+1.37 units)

Salikhov proved to be the cleaner striker. He hit and hurt Fialho many times over the course of the fight. The accumulation of strikes proved to be too much for Fialho to handle and the ref had to save him from further damage. Fialho probably fought too many times this year and it caught up with him.

Jack Della Maddalena Round 1 (+0.63 units)

Della Maddalena kept on cruising with another impressive 1st round finish. His boxing is some of the best in the UFC and Roberts had no answer for it. It’ll be interesting to see how he performs in the future as the competition gets harder for him.

Losing Bets

Kennedy Nzechukwu by sub (-0.25 units)

We took a stab at a long shot prop and it lost as most do. Nzechukwu did finish Cutelaba but it was by TKO and not by submission. Even though we lost that bet there were no regrets making it. It was only for 0.25 units and we felt given Cutelaba’s last 2 recent sub losses it was worth the try.

Maryna Moroz & Jack Della Maddalena ITD parlay (-0.80 units)

This parlay ended on the 1st leg as Moroz lost a decision to Maia. We thought Moroz was the better striker with the better wrestling. She got going late but Maia had already built an early lead with her output in the 1st 2 rounds. Maia let her hands go while Moroz seemed hesitant to do so early. Della Maddalena did his part finishing Roberts in round 1 but it was all for not.

UFC Fight Night: Thompson vs Holland (PLAYS)

Natan Levy ITD +110 (0.42 units) Bet was placed on 12/2/22.

This is a low level UFC fight and we’re siding with the better fighter. Levy is durable and holds an advantage on the ground. Valdez is aggressive but lacks in the striking defense department. It should be an exciting fight for however long it lasts. We see Levy being able to withstand the Valdez onslaught and finishing him on the feet or ground at some point.

Roman Dolidze ITD +275 (0.50 units) Bet was placed on 12/2/22.

Dolidze is coming into this fight off of 2 impressive 1st round finishes. Hermansson is the better overall fighter but has been finished several times in the UFC. We feel Dolidze has a reasonable chance to finish Hermansson given his recent power surge. It’s unlikely if he wins it would be by decision so we took the shot on him winning inside the distance.

Tai Tuivasa ITD +210 (0.50 units) Bet was placed on 12/2/22.

We know that Tuivasa is durable and is an elite heavyweight. We’re not so sure the same can be said for Pavlovich at this time. Pavlovich very well may win but we felt getting Tuivasa at over 2-1 dog odd was the better play. If Tuivasa wins its most like going to be inside the distance as a decision win for him seems very unlikely.

Matheus Nicolau ITD +130 (0.50 units) Bet was placed on 12/2/22.

Nicolau isn’t a big finisher but we feel he’s the better fighter in this spot. Schnell fights a kill or be killed fighting style in many of his fights. We believe Schnell will have his moments but ultimately will make a mistake leading to his downfall. Nicolau is capable of finishing Schnell if given the opportunity.

Stephen Thompson by decision +400 (0.50 units) Bet was placed on 12/2/22.

This is an evenly matched fight between two strikers. Neither fighter packs serious power so we feel there’s a good chance the fight will go the distance. Thompson is a tough puzzle to crack in a striking matchup and we’d be surprised if Holland implemented a wrestle heavy game plan. Taking Thompson by decision at +400 in a perceived striking matchup was a no brainer in our opinion.
