Capper’s Delight – (12/10/22) UFC 282: Blachowicz vs Ankalaev

Welcome back to Capper’s Delight. We’re coming off a winning week for the last fight card. Our bets went 2-3 for a total win of 0.60 units. Year to date our bets are down 30.1 units. All bets are 3rd party tracked at Betmma.tips under the handicapper profile name MMAinformed.com.

UFC Fight Night: Thompson vs Holland (RESULTS)

Winning Bets

Roman Dolidze ITD (+1.37 units)

Dolidze appeared to be headed for a decision defeat as he surprisingly was losing on the feet. Everything changed however when the fight hit the ground. He was able to take Hermansson’s back and get a TKO finish.

Matheus Nicolau ITD (+0.65 units)

We pointed out how Schnell was a kill or be killed fighter and that was the case again. Nicolau had the much faster hands and it was only a matter of time before he hurt and finished him.

Losing Bets

Natan Levy ITD (-0.42 units)

Levy had several chances to finish Valdez but it never happened. He landed many damaging shots but Valdez was able to withstand them and make it to the scorecards.

Tai Tuivasa ITD (-0.50 units)

This fight was destined to end early and it did. Unfortunately we were on the wrong side as Pavlovich completely demolished Tuivasa. Tuivasa had the power and pedigree to get the KO but it just wasn’t meant to be.

Stephen Thompson by decision (-0.50 units)

We liked Thompson to win the fight and he did. However we were greedy and wanted the bigger pay out so we played him by decision. Most of the time he’s going to win the fight against Holland by decision but not this time. Unfortunately Holland sustained a hand injury and that led to the finish.

UFC 282: Blachowicz vs Ankalaev (PLAYS)

Chris Curtis +150 (3 units) Bet was placed on 12/10/22.

Curtis is coming off of a disappointing loss to Jack Hermansson in his last fight. He was upset because Hermansson chose to fight from distance and because so he lost a unanimous decision. We’d be shocked if Buckley chose the same game plan as he likes to engage. If that’s the case Curtis is the better striker even though Buckley has the better power. We see Curtis being able to land on Buckley and being able to avoid Buckley’s power. If that happens he should be able to win a decision or even get a stoppage of Buckley is reckless or gasses.

Cameron Saaiman / Edmen Shahbazyan / Raul Rosas Jr / Paddy Pimblett / Magomed Ankalaev parlay +337 (2 units) Bet was placed on 12/10/22.

Saaiman was originally scheduled to face Ronnie Lawrence who was a much tougher matchup. Now he’s getting a short notice replacement who’s fought suspect competition. Saaiman is a talent and should roll in this spot.

Shahbazyan is making his comeback after coming off a 3 fight skid. Those fights were against legit completion and now he’s getting a big step down in competition facing Lungiambula. Shahbazyan is still young and talented and it appears the UFC is giving a matchup for him to shine in.

Rosas is making his UFC debut at 18 years old. He’s a talent and the UFC is giving him a favorable matchup for his debut. Perrin is tough but we believe Rosas will be successful with his grappling and that will lead him to victory.

Pimblett is a cash cow for the UFC and they’re continuing to give him favorable matchups. He’s a good fighter but most likely isn’t elite. Gordon is a good fighter as well but doesn’t possess the type of threat to derail Pimblett at this time.

Ankalaev has been a blue chip prospect for years and now’s his chance to shine. He’s better than Blachowicz everywhere with exception to submissions. His precise striking should be the difference and he should become the new light heavyweight champion.
