Invicta FC Phoenix Series 3 will go down on Friday night from Kansas City, Kan. with all of the fighters competing on the card hitting the mark during the official weigh-ins.
The main event will see a new Invicta bantamweight champion crowned as former Ultimate Fighter contender Julija Stoliarenko takes on Lisa Verzosa.
Stoliarenko and Versoza both came in at an identical 134.2 pounds for their title fight.
In addition to the title fight, Invicta will also roll out the latest edition of their Phoenix Series showcase, which features eight fighters in a one-night tournament where the eventual champion will have to win three bouts in a row.
The first two rounds of the tournament will be one round a piece with a three-round final fight to determine the winner. All of the fighters competing in the Phoenix Series tournament made weight and then the matchups were determined in a random draw.
Here are the opening round matchups as determined on Thursday:
Taneisha Tennant vs. Brittney Victoria
Claire Guthrie vs. Taylor Guardado
Kerri Kenneson vs. Serena DeJesus
There will also be two Phoenix series alternate bouts on the card just in case a replacement is needed at some point during the tournament.
