Bellator 238: Julia Budd vs. Cris Cyborg weigh-in video

Cris Cyborg begins her Bellator career on Saturday in a Bellator 238 headlining bout with Julia Budd. Though many have long waited for Cyborg’s promotional debut at Bellator, it’s not a foregone conclusion that she’ll walk out of the cage victories.

While Cyborg (21-2, 1 NC) was considered the most dominant female fighter on the planet until she got knocked out by UFC champion Amanda Nunes, Budd (13-2) didn’t become the Bellator featherweight champion by accident.

Budd has only ever lost in MMA to Nunes and former UFC champion Ronda Rousey, the latter of which was more than eight years ago. She has since won 11 consecutive bouts, including defeating Marloes Coenen to become the Bellator champ. Budd has successfully defended the belt three times and looks to add a fourth when she welcomes Cyborg.
