Losing to Sean Strickland at UFC Vegas 33 was a difficult-to-swallow setback for veteran middleweight Uriah Hall.

Uriah Hall makes first public statement following UFC Vegas 33 defeat

Hall took to his Instagram Sunday morning to make his first comments following his unanimous decision loss to “Tarzan” in the main event of UFC Vegas 33. The setback ended a four-fight win streak the 37-year-old had heading into his matchup last night. The defeat moved the eighth-ranked 185-pounder’s record to 17-10 overall.

“Tough one last night,” Hall wrote. “Congratulations to [Sean Strickland]. I was prepared, he was just the better man last night. This one hurts, but I’ll be back. Thank you for all the messages and love. It means more than you know. Oss”

With the victory, the eleventh-ranked Strickland improved to 11-3 in UFC and is 24-3 overall.
