UFC 273 live stream: Complete results and play-by-play updates will begin flowing RIGHT HERE for the “Volkanovski vs. Korean Zombie”-led pay-per-view (PPV) event TONIGHT (Sat., April 9, 2022) from inside VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla., a championship doubleheader that features featherweight kingpin, Alexander Volkanovski, defending his 145-pound strap against “Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung. No dice, knees from Fremd a minute in. Hernandez tries a front headlock, then changes levels again. High crotch puts him on top and he tries to lock up a guillotine. Wrist control by Fremd to deny the first attempt. Hernandez gets closer on the second one, then drags him to the ground again. One hook in two minutes in. Another guillotine transition, then an anaconda. Fremd gets to his knees, tries to scramble up. Two minutes to go.
Fremd gets to his feet, lands a knee, can’t separate. Brutal elbow by Hernandez, who flurries before shooting back in. Clubbing right lands for him, Fremd lands one in return with a minute to go. Hernandez refusing to give him breathing room and takes him down again. One hook in. He considers a guillotine, lands knees to the body, then takes him down again. 10-9 Hernandez.
Round 2: Early wheel kick from Hernandez. Fremd tries a whizzer kick, denies the next takedown, but not the one after. One hook in for Hernandez. Fremd slips out, gets taken down again. Trying to shoot in himself as Hernandez threatens his neck. Elbows from Hernandez. Fremd manages to roll into top side control two minutes in. Now he goes for a guillotine as Hernandez tries to scramble free. No dice, but he does get half guard. Arm triangle attempt. Deep half guard for Hernandez. Two minutes to go.
Fremd goes north-south, then grabs a body lock as Hernandez stands. Hernandez considers a kimura, gets taken back down. Back up with a minute to go. Fremd remains attached. Solid knees on the break. Long combination lands well and now he’s on the attack. He shoots in and Hernandez locks up a guillotine, then knees the body. Fremd manages to convert it into a takedown. Damn, great round. 10-9 Fremd.

Round 1: Both women standing just out of range. Pennington jabs the body. Sharp right cross. Ladd tries a head kick. Another 1-2 from Pennington a minute in. Body kick. She punches her way in, eating a left hand as she ties up. Knee to the body, punches from Ladd in return. They separate. Exchange in center cage two minutes in. Nice left hook and body kicks from Pennington. Pennington lands a combination, absorbing a left hand in the process. 1-2 with two minutes to go.
Lead left hook and body kick by Pennington. Ladd tosses out some kicks, eats low kicks. One minute to go. Big left hook by Pennington, then they trade heavy lefts. Ladd low kick. Nice exchanges. heavy right from Pennington. She stuffs a takedown, lands knees, and trades punches.
Round 2: Trading kicks to start. Pennington to the body. Quick cross up top a minute in. Big exchange and Pennington puts her on the fence. Short elbow connects, knees to the body. They separate. Ladd advancing, walks into a right hand, tries head kicks. Pennington takes a finger in the eye. Two minutes in. Counter hook lands for Ladd after eating a front kick downstairs. Round 1: Malott tries a low kick, then a head kick. Solid right cross from Gall. Hard exchange in center cage. One minute in. Counter 2-3 buzzes Gall. Malott tries to follow with an overhand right. Double jab. Hard flurry from Gall in return and they trade at close range. Low kick by Malott, who blasts Gall with a right hand two minutes in. Gall still marching forward, eats a jab. Clean left hook by Malott, then to the body. Gall responds with a takedown, can’t hold him down. Two minutes to go.
They separate. Gall tries to flurry, but a monster left hook sends him face-first to the canvas. Though he somehow manages to wake up, Malott swarms him until the ref intervenes.
Final result: Malott def. Gall by TKO (punches)
265 lbs.: Aleksei Oleinik vs. Jared Vanderaa
Round 1: Oleinik tries to wing some overhand rights. Some awkward jabs, then clean connections with the overhand. He shoots, denied a minute in. Good counter right by Vanderaa. Oleinik ties up and pulls half guard. Slick sweep attempts but Vanderaa’s balance is strong. He ends up taking Oleinik’s back. Heavy punches. Oleinik manages to sweep and avoid a triangle. Two minutes to go.
Vanderaa tries to scramble up but Oleinik latches onto his bac. Tries to transition to the arm triangle, switches to kesa gatame. Big squeeze and there’s the tap.
Final result: Oleinik def. Vanderaa by submission (scarf hold neck crank)
115 lbs.: Kay Hansen vs. Piera Rodriguez
Round 1: Early exchange in center cage. Brief clinch, knee from Hansen. Low kick from Rodriguez. One minute in. They trade again, favoring Hansen. Counter hook by Rodriguez, her best shot so far. Hansen fires a double-leg and hauls her to the fence. Working hard from the body lock, first attempt denied. Two minutes in. The second one does the trick and she lands on top. Rodriguez scoots to the fence and stands. Hansen bullies her down again but Rodriguez kicks her off and stands before landing a jab. Two minutes to go.
Teep by Hansen. They trade inside. Hansen with a right cross and a clean double-leg into guard. One minute to go. Hansen postures up, lands some shots, then passes to side control. Trying to lock up an arm triangle after getting caught back in half guard. 10-9 Hansen.
Round 2: Another rapid exchange in the opening seconds. Rodriguez falls short with some shots. One minute in. Hansen catches a body kick and takes her to the fence. High crotch to double unders. Rodriguez lands a knee. She separates two minutes in. Jumping knee attempt. Nice shot from Hansen, strong hips from Rodriguez. Two minutes to go.
Rodriguez reverses and hits a single-leg. Hansen tries a kimura, gives up the back. One minute to go. Hansen fighting the hands, but unable to improve position. Now she goes for deep half and they trade leglocks. 10-9 Rodriguez.
Round 3: Rodriguez shoots early and takes Rodriguez down into guard. One minute in. Hansen trying to sweep. Rodriguez stands over and kicks at her legs. Hansen gets to her feet. Two minutes in. Rodriguez low kick. Good left by Rodriguez. Hansen tries to trip her down, gets pressed against the fence. Rodriguez knees the body. Two minutes to go.

Round 1: Santos advancing, tries to flurry on the fence. Solid head kick attempt from Arce, who digs a long left downstairs. Santos continuing to pressure, falls short on a spinning back fist. One minute in. Santos lands a right to the body, eats jabs after whiffing a flurry. He unloads again and ties up. Two minutes in. Brutal elbow on the break that Arce absorbs. Lead up-elbow into the clinch, separation. Arce landing his jab but unable to keep Santos honest at the moment. Near-miss on the head kick. Right shovel hook by Santos with two minutes to go.
Arce dings him with a straight left, avoids a wheel kick, lands a 1-2 downstairs. More kicks off the back foot. Hard jab and cross. Santos 1-2, eats a 2-1 in return. One minute to go. Arce really starting to pick him off, escapes the clinch. Head kick appears to land and he follows with sharp combinations. He’s found his groove. 10-9 Arce.
Round 2: Santos pressuring hard, tries a flying knee and gets clinched. He reverses and separates. Arce ducks under a 1-2-2 and puts him on the fence a minute in. Knee on the break. Potshotting off the back foot. Santos tries a pair of spins. Arce 1-2. Two minutes in. They exchange body kicks and Arce follows with a low kick. Santos consistently falling short, walks into a jab. Big swings on the fence, no clean connections. Good exchanges now. Two minutes to go.
Gnarly body shots by Arce. Jabbing as he circles. Combination, head kick attempts. Santos flurries into the clinch. Separation with a minute to go.
