Longtime Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran, Donald Cerrone, was thought to have nose and orbital fractures after losing to Conor McGregor at the UFC 246 pay-per-view (PPV) event last month in Las Vegas, which led to a six-month medical suspension from Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).
Guess not.
“Surgery? Nothing was broke,” Cerrone told fans on his Instagram account (via MMA Junkie). “[Nose and orbital] didn’t break. Not sure why UFC always says that.”

Cerrone was left a beaten and bloody mess after McGregor drilled him with pre-planned shoulder strikes to open the UFC 246 main event but “Cowboy” can be cleared to return as early as this month if rubber-stamped by a maxillofacial doctor.
It’s important to note that post-fight suspensions are just a precaution in most cases. It’s not like they have X-ray machines in the locker room, which is why fighters are often sent to the hospital instead of the UFC press conference.
