UFC has three cards scheduled for May 9, 13 and 16 in Florida, but is already working on other events for late May.

MMA Fighting has learned that a strawweight bout between Mackenzie Dern and Hannah Cifers is tentatively set for a yet-to-be-announced show on May 23. It’s still unclear if the event will take place in Jacksonville, Fla., like the other events.

Dern was originally scheduled to face Ariane Carnelossi on April 25, but Cifers stepped in as a replacement when “Sorriso” was unable to leave Brazil due to the coronavirus pandemic. The UFC eventually cancelled the whole card.

Cifers (10-4) last fought on Jan. 25, losing via second-round TKO to Angela Hill in Raleigh, N.C. “Shockwave” scored decision wins over Polyana Viana and Jodie Esquibel in the octagon following a promotional debut loss to Maycee Barber.

Dern (7-1) stepped away from the sport to give birth to her first daughter in 2019 and returned against 115-pound prospect Amanda Ribas, losing via unanimous decision in Tampa, Fla. The jiu-jitsu wizard was undefeated as a mixed martial artist with a pair of UFC victories going into UFC Tampa last October.
