By all accounts, Robbie Lawler had the power advantage headed into his UFC 47 fight with Nick Diaz.
The Miletich Fighting Systems breakout star had won six of his first eight fights via knockout, including two in the octagon. Diaz had a few TKOs on his record, but he was known for his submissions as much as his striking.
Lawler tried to take off Diaz’s head when they met at UFC 47 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. But it was Diaz who ultimately landed the telling blow.
