Klidson Abreu and Jamahal Hill will collide in a light heavyweight showdown at UFC’s upcoming show on May 23, multiple sources told MMA Fighting.

The event is expected to take place at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.

Abreu (15-4) is a former Brave CF titleholder who joined the promotion on a six-fight finishing streak. American Top Team’s “Russian Terror” currently holds a 1-2 record in the UFC with a decision victory over Sam Alvey sandwiched between decision losses to Magomed Ankalaev and Shamil Gamzatov.

The Brazilian fighter was originally scheduled to face Gadzhimurad Antigulov at UFC Kazakhstan on June 13, but the card was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Hill (7-0) earned a spot in the UFC after stopping Alexander Poppeck via technical knockout at Dana White’s Contender Series last July. He then defeated Darko Stosic via decision in his first appearance under the UFC’s bright lights. Three of the undefeated prospect’s seven wins come by way of stoppage.
