The third and final meeting between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier was closely contested and that was reflected on the official scorecards.

Though Miocic earned a pair of 49-46 scores en route to retaining the heavyweight championship and going up 2-1 in his series with Cormier, the fight was high on drama and one gets the sense that a couple of those rounds could have gone either way.

Judges Derek Cleary and Sal D’Amato agreed that Miocic won four of the five rounds, while judge Junichiro Kamijo authored the lone 48-47 score. Rounds one and four were disputed, while all three agreed that Miocic won rounds two, three, and five.
