Niklas Stolze vs Jared Gooden preview

Stolze, 28, was slated to face Mounir Lazzez before the latter’s visa issues forced him off the card. Germany’s Stolze accepted a late minuted fight with Gooden to stay on the card, a fight in which both men will look to earn their first victories in the Octagon.

Stolze signed with the UFC in 2020 after a four-fight win streak in Europe, but he dropped his promotional debut to the well-rounded Ramazan Emeev. “Green Mask” is a talented finisher with a near-even number of knockouts and submissions on his record. Stolze will look to turn back Gooden inside the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Gooden, 27, signed with the UFC this year after an exciting run on the regional scene. Competing most prominently for Titan FC and NFC, a promotion based in Gooden’s home state of Georgia.

Both men have the ability to end an opponent’s night early, with Gooden has seven knockouts and six submissions in 17 wins.

Fans can look for this fight as an underrated candidate to win Fight of the Night honors.

UFC Vegas 33 takes place on July 31, from inside the UFC Apex, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The preliminary portion of the card begins at 6 pm ET. Main card action follows at 9 pm ET. The event will air on ESPN and streaming service ESPN+.
