Marina Rodriguez and Mackenzie Dern pocketed some extra cash for their five-round main-event battle on Saturday at UFC Vegas 39.
Rodriguez and Dern captured Fight of the Night honors for their strawweight tilt, which Rodriguez won via unanimous decision after outclassing Dern with her striking. Both women earned an extra $50,000 in bonus money.
Dern has now won four post-fight bonuses in her UFC career while Rodriguez has won two. Both women had not won a Fight of the Night award prior to Saturday.
The back-and-forth affair headlined an all-women slate of bonus winners for this weekend’s card in Las Vegas as prospects Lupita Godinez and Mariya Agapova also cashed Performance of the Night bonuses for their efforts.
Godinez steamrolled through Silvana Gomez Juarez with a first-round armbar while Agapova scored a highlight-reel third-round submission over Sabina Mazo.
UFC Vegas 39 took place Oct. 9 at the UFC Apex. The event streamed live on ESPN+.
