Jake Paul would be an underdog for the first time in his fighting career if he faces Tommy Fury as his next opponent.

While talks are still ongoing for a potential showdown between the YouTube celebrity turned boxer and the younger brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, the opening odds to the fight have now been released courtesy of SportsBetting.ag.

Here’s where the fight stands currently:

Jake Paul +120

Tommy Fury -150

Based upon those odds, Fury is a slight favorite to beat Paul, with a $150 wager required to get back $100 should he walk away victorious in the fight. On the flip side, a $100 bet on Paul as the underdog would net $120 if he’s able to get the job done on fight night.

Currently 4-0 in his boxing career with three knockouts, Paul faced his stiffest competition to date in his most recent fight when he earned a split decision win over former UFC champion Tyron Woodley. It was the first time Paul went to a decision after laying waste to the his first three opponents, including former Bellator and ONE champion Ben Askren.

While there was very brief talk about Paul possibly facing Woodley in a rematch after their fight ended, the 24-year-old social influencer ultimately turned his attention to Fury, who fought on the undercard of the same event that aired on Showtime pay-per-view.

As for Fury, he’s currently undefeated in his career as well with a perfect 7-0 record with four knockouts on his resume.

The fighters have gone back-and-forth over social media and through various interviews but it remains to be seen if the matchup will finally come together. For now, Fury can at least tout himself as the favorite to beat Paul based on the opening odds for the potential fight.
