Miesha Tate: ‘I remember what it feels like to be the champ’

It’s been six years since women’s bantamweight contender Miesha Tate held the UFC 135-pound title, but she remembers what it feels like to be champion.

Tate returned after five years away from completion in July, defeating Marion Reneau by TKO. She immediately jumped back in the rankings at No. 8 following the impressive performance. She takes on No. 7 ranked Ketlen Vieira in the UFC Fight Night main event on Nov. 20 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Early Wednesday morning, Tate posted on social media, “I remember what it feels like to be the Champ. I think about it a lot, every fight brings me one giant step closer. I am ready for Nov 20th!”
